It was announce…

It was announced today that our superintendent, Mike Miles, will be leaving Harrison School District 2 to serve as superintendent of Dallas Independent School District this summer. It’s hard to imagine what Harrison will be like next year without him, as so much of our culture and vision stems from his leadership. I’m still trying to decide what this means for us here in Harrison, but it is no doubt impressive that Mr. Miles will be heading a school district that serves more than 157,000 students with a budget of $1.5 billion (comparatively, Harrison serves 10,000 students on a budget of roughly $80 million). Congratulations to Mr. Miles on this huge accomplishment. I hope that he can bring the same reform we have seen in Harrison to the Dallas community.
